God be between you and harm in all the empty places you walk.
-A blessing of the 18th Egyptian Dynasty

  2. Really “God be between you and harm in all the empty places you walk” as an 18th Dynasty Egyptian quote? from 1500 BC? Which of their extremely large pantheon of dieties that they were actively worshiping at the time are they refering to there. Since they sure as hell weren’t Christian. (Infact given that it’s B.C. there WERE no Christians at the time by definition.)

  3. Along those lines the quote is infact from that time period but is being mis-quoted.

    From these heiroglyphs.: http://24.media.tumblr.com/57f3e4379da1c6cf5bc936b0280ccd17/tumblr_mtdk3aFN7a1sfwbw6o1_r1_1280.jpg

The literal translation for the time would have been “(May) (a good) god stand (also arise and attend) between you and harm in all the deserts you are caused to walk.”
